S&P/TSX composite index up in late-morning trading Wednesday, U.S. markets mixed




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index was up more than 100 points in late-morning trading on Wednesday, led by strength in basic materials, while U.S. markets were mixed.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 136.51 points at 36,612.43.
