easyJet is Europe’s second-largest carrier by flights. According to the budget operator’s schedule submission to Cirium Diio, 1,815 daily movements (takeoffs and landings combined) are available in June. It provides about 8% of the continent’s services.
The low-cost carrier (LCC) plans 3% more flights than in June 2025. Schedule analysis indicates that 1,107 routes will operate: 1,005 international and 102 domestic. Its network benefits from the launch, or resumption, of 15 routes, as discussed in this article. Ryanair launched 15 routes on June 1 and 2 alone.
easyJet Begins 13 International Routes This Month
Cirium data shows that international links account for 1,540 of easyJet’s 1,815 daily movements in June. 85% of its total services will be international. Its top five country markets are the UK to Spain, the UK to France, the UK to Italy, the UK to Greece, and the UK to Portugal. Unsurprisingly, British easyJet has more UK flights than any other airline. 58% of the LCC’s movements touch the country.
On June 6, it’ll lift off from Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) to Funchal (twice-weekly) and Bordeaux to Palermo (weekly), followed by Geneva to Larnaca the next day (weekly). Only NCE to Funchal will not have head-to-head competition. Cirium shows that no flights have previously existed.
On June 20, easyJet will commence service from Bristol International Airport (BRS) to Thessaloniki (twice-weekly), followed by BRS to Reus the next day (twice-weekly). Perhaps surprisingly, the airline has not previously served either Southern European destination from its sixth-busiest base. Two days later, it’ll take off from
London Gatwick Airport (LGW) — which is by far its top base — to Reus (thrice-weekly), along with Basel to Lille (twice-weekly) and Newcastle (a recently reopened base) to Lisbon. No airline has previously operated between Northeast England and the Portuguese capital.
On June 23, easyJet will begin Bordeaux-Cagliari (twice-weekly), Milan Malpensa-Berlin (thrice-weekly), Lyon-Keflavik (twice-weekly), and NCE-Cagliari (twice-weekly), followed by Manchester-Preveza the next day (twice-weekly). All these routes have been served by easyJet or another carrier before, although not necessarily recently. For example, the Iceland link was last served by the now-defunct WOW Air in 2018.

One Domestic Route Will Launch On June 22
easyJet’s schedule submission indicates that it is Europe’s fourth-largest domestic operator by flights, behind Ryanair, Turkish Airlines (IATA classifies Turkey as being part of Europe for aviation purposes), and Norway’s Widerøe. easyJet’s higher-capacity equipment means that it ranks second for seats for sale, behind only Ryanair.
On June 22, easyJet will inaugurate service from Milan Linate Airport (LIN) to Brindisi (four weekly A319/A320). One of three commercial airports serving Milan, LIN is much closer to the downtown area than Malpensa (the airline’s second-busiest base by flights) and Bergamo. It’ll compete head-to-head with ITA Airways. It’ll be the first time that this airport pair has had two carriers since Wizz Air pulled out in 2022. easyJet has operated between MXP and BDS since 2008.

Another Domestic Route Will Start The Next Day
On June 23, an additional domestic UK market will be served: LGW to Cornwall Newquay Airport (NQY; thrice-weekly A319/A320). This short route to Cornwall covers 188 nautical miles (348 km) each way. easyJet previously served it amid the pandemic in 2021.
The LCC’s interest was renewed following Skybus’s exit, as it did not secure Public Service Obligation funding. That carrier had replaced the now-defunct Eastern Airways on the airport pair. easyJet is operating on a commercial basis, hence the low frequency even for the peak season.
UK Civil Aviation Authority data shows LGW-NQY had 44,000 round-trip passengers last year, which rose to 98,000 when other London-area airports are included. In 2019, 197,000 passengers flew between the UK capital and the surfing capital of the UK. A lot has changed since then.
