One of America’s largest airlines has celebrated the opening of its second ‘BlueHouse’ lounge. The new lounge, located at
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), is the second in the country after its first BlueHouse opened at
New York JFK Airport (JFK) in December last year. Currently, there are no further BlueHouse lounges planned.
On Thursday, August 27, eligible JetBlue passengers will be able to access the airline lounge located in Terminal C. Opening at 5:00 AM, the first passengers will be able to sit back and relax and enjoy specially curated breakfast menus and a range of other amenities before departing on their JetBlue flight.
The Second BlueHouse Opens Its Doors This Thursday
As part of the JetBlue JetForward strategy, the new lounge opening underpins its commitment to deliver customer-centric experiences, and more for its premium passengers. The BlueHouse Boston will provide the airline’s signature hospitality to one of its largest focus cities.
Covering a total of 12,000 square feet, there are a number of dedicated areas within the lounge, including a central bar, dining rooms, lounge and table seating inspired by warm, local colors and materials that are complemented by eclectic furniture, curated artwork, and copper accents.
BlueHouse is a benefit for the airline’s most loyal customers and those who are Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier cardmembers. Recently added, JetBlue Mint and Mint Flex fare passengers can now also access the lounge for free. Mosaic 1, 2, and 3 members can access the lounge for a fee.
Stephanie Evans Greene, senior vice president, marketing and brand, JetBlue, explains what can be experienced in the new Boston lounge:
“BlueHouse Boston is designed to feel like a warm, stylish New England home – welcoming, comfortable and full of details that spark inspiration and nostalgia. From the local partnerships and artwork to the playful surprises throughout the space, we wanted customers to feel connected to Boston just like JetBlue.”
A Love Letter For Boston
The character of the new BlueHouse Boston draws on the Boston and greater New England region with locally inspired designs and art that are playful throughout the space. The experience is designed in a way to welcome customers from the moment they arrive. As suggested by B6, it’s a ‘stylish New England home’. Local partnerships and artwork are several playful surprises throughout the lounge.
JetBlue’s continued investment in Boston and its delivery of a premium travel experience marks another exciting chapter in the JetForward strategy, following the successful launch of BlueHouse JFK, which was recently awarded the Best Airport Lounge by Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards 2026. Details of the Boston lounge are outlined below:
The Neighbourhood Bar | Featuring Nantucket blue wood slatted ceilings and warm copper finishes, the social heart of the lounge has custom lighting features inspired by the Boston beacon. |
|---|---|
The Dugout | Celebrating sports culture, this game room features artifacts and local memorabilia. |
The Candy Closet | Stocked by Madeline’s Candy Shop, this sweet spot is where guests can stock up on custom-designed carry-on candy bags. |
The Library Workspace | A peaceful and quiet area modeled on the Boston Public Library. The area has private rooms for phone calls and virtual meetings. |
A Richard Scarry Original | An exclusive mural that features characters and scenes from Boston-born author Richard Scarry’s Busy World, and includes an adapted illustration with a JetBlue aircraft. |
The lounge, which is expected to be hugely popular with JetBlue travelers from Boston, will support the airline’s more than 133 daily departures from the airport to 68 destinations. 25 of these destinations are international, including nine daily nonstop flights to Europe.
JetBlue JetForward Strategy
The new Boston lounge is part of a multi-million-dollar comprehensive turnaround plan that is aimed at JetBlue shifting from a pure low-cost carrier and transforming into a premium-focused hybrid model. This includes exiting a number of routes that are unprofitable and shifting the airline’s focus towards major airports such as Boston and New York.
As part of the strategy, the Mint lie-flat product will be expanded on key leisure routes, and evolving the standalone cabin experience, with the addition of a domestic first class product. The airline will also retire older Embraer E190 airplanes and prioritize delivery of the Airbus A220 to lower ongoing operational costs.
The airline is keeping quiet on whether a new lounge could be on the horizon soon, with the Boston Globe suggesting that airline executives could be focusing on
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) next.
