New Drinks & Snacks Onboard: Breeze Airways Celebrates 5 Years Of Flying

American low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is celebrating flying for half a decade, with the airline offering a refreshed onboard menu which includes a signature cocktail called the ‘Island Breeze’. This twist on the classic Sea Breeze is part of a partnership with Straightaway Cocktails.

Breeze was founded back in 2018 as Moxy Airways and commenced operations as Breeze on May 27, 2021. It is the creation of David Neeleman, the same co-founder as JetBlue Airways, WestJet, Morris Air, and Azul Linhas Aereas. Breeze’s first flight was from Tampa (TMP) to Charleston (CHS) almost five years ago.

In addition to a delightful new range of onboard drinks, the airline has also introduced a selection of snack boxes and bundled snacks for passengers to choose from. These include a range of Albanese True to Fruit Gummies, Kettle Brand Sea Salt Potato Chips, Cooper Street Granola Bakes, Soon Veggie Ramen Noodles, and Alp and Dell Cheese Trays.

Curate snackboxes include Fun Favorites or Power Back; more details are available via this link. Other Bundle and Save packs include a range of drinks and snacks available for all passengers. Guests traveling on Breeze Ascent enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks. Other travelers can purchase these on board.

The onboard experience remains a major part of what sets Breeze apart, as Dana Shapir, the airline’s Chief Guest Officer, reiterated.

“These new ways that passengers can customize their experience reflect the same philosophy we’ve built the airline on,” she explained.

A Growing List Of Breeze Routes

Breeze Airways operates to 88 cities across the US, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, with more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes. The airline boasts a fleet of new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, and recently celebrated its 50th A220 delivery. The airline offers no change or cancellation fees and operates from several major and secondary airports, frequently being the only operator on its routes.

Following the collapse of ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) Spirit Airlines, carriers such as JetBlue and Breeze are filling the gap on several routes left abandoned by the carrier. Breeze has stepped in to fill the void from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), with new routes now set to serve four destinations from the New Jersey tourist town.

Breeze has also taken over several routes to and from Florida and Myrtle Beach, as well as services to Cancun from Tampa, Pittsburgh, and Richmond. The sky remains the limit for Breeze, which continues to offer low-cost nonstop flights from underserved smaller airports. The airline is praised for its modern fleet, comfortable seating, and friendly crew. Happy birthday, Breeze Airways!
