Indigenous Group Challenges Vancouver Dredging for Tankers


The Indigenous community filed a judicial review to overturn a permit that allows the port authority to deepen the water under the bridge, the nation said in a media release on Thursday. The nation argues Canada failed to adequately consult it before the permit was issued and it was based on an unreasonable determination that the work wouldn’t have a significant impact on the environment, according to the release.
