Georgia Stanway completes move to Arsenal


Georgia Stanway has completed her return to the Women’s Super League after signing with Arsenal.

The 27-year-old spent the last four seasons in Germany with Bayern München until the expiry of her contract at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Stanway had strongly been linked with a move to the Gunners of the last several months which has now been confirmed although the club have not specified the length of the player’s contract.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling and I’m so proud to be joining Arsenal,” the former Manchester City player said on her arrival. 

“This is a massive club that is driving the women’s game forward to new levels and I want to be a part of it. I want to win trophies and grow as a player, and this is the right place to do that with the backing of an incredible fanbase.”

Last season, Stanway featured 40 times for Bayern in all competitions, scoring nine goals and making 11 assists.
