World Cup Daily live: Spain knock out Portugal; Kane loses voice; USMNT prepares for Belgium

Quarterfinal spots are getting rapidly booked up, and more teams are hoping to join the party on Monday.

The United States men’s national team are back in action when it plays Belgium in Seattle at 8 p.m. ET, and the team will have striker Folarin Balogun back after his suspension was controversially lifted.

Before that, though, Portugal’s World Cup came to an end at the hands of Spain in Arlington, Texas. Mikel Merino’s second-half stoppage-time winner ensured that the Jules Rimet trophy would elude Cristiano Ronaldo, who announced earlier in the tournament that this would be his final World Cup.

Take a look at all the features, news, video analysis and color from around the competition.
