Who’s Baseball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital?


With the regular-season over and playoffs at hand, baseball coaches have nominated three athletes for lohud Baseball Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.

Last week’s winner was Hastings senior pitcher Andrew Ciszewski, who hurled a perfect game against Rye Neck with 11 strikeouts and also had an 11-strikeout, two hitter in a shutout of Leffell.

He joined previous 2026 winners Alejandro Pena of Blind Brook, Zach Davidson of Harrison, Sean Concannon of Iona Prep, Drew Wooster of Pearl River and JP Donahoe of Mamaroneck.

This week’s nominees are being considered based on their May 11-17 performances.

Please read the recaps detailing what they did, then vote. Voting ends at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20 with the winner announced on the lohud sports social media accounts.

Luke Reagins, Mamaroneck

The senior second baseman led the Tigers to wins over White Plains, Port Chester and White Plains last week. He went 6-for-8 at the plate with two doubles, four walks, eight runs scored and seven RBI.

Nilo Rodriguez, Stepinac

The senior had a big week with two saves and a scoreless no-decision. He picked up both saves against St. Francis Prep and his no-decision was against St. Raymond, a game Stepinac lost 2-1 after Rodriguez departed. The righty hurled 6 1/3 innings over the three games with four hits, 10 strikeouts and one run allowed. Against St. Raymond, he went 4 2/3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs and striking out 10.

Brandon Stabile, Iona Prep

The senior tossed a no-hitter against Xavier in Iona Prep’s last regular-season game of 2026. Stabile walked one and struck out eight.
