United Airlines Launches 14 Massive New Nonstop Routes From Major Hub: Full List Now

United Airlines is the world’s largest operator in some ways, including for the number of airports served. Schedule analysis using Cirium Diio data shows that 388 airports will see United or United Express frames between September 2026 and July 2027. This reflects what is known as of September 1 and certainly may change.

Everyone knows that the Star Alliance member’s hubs include Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). When aircraft movements are considered, this is United’s fourth-busiest hub, behind Chicago O’Hare, Denver, and Houston George Bush. EWR also ranks fourth for seats for sale. But due to being the carrier’s primary transatlantic hub, it is number two, behind San Francisco, for available seat miles.

United’s full network from EWR has been explored. The following table summarizes the new and returning destinations that the airline is due to serve between September 2026 and July 2027. As this is a changeable situation, treat this article as a summary of what is currently known. It probably will change. For example, United has just disclosed that flights to Lima will not operate next summer and possibly not at all after the upcoming winter.

Obviously, many of the additions relate to United’s considerable network expansion revealed last week, which includes flights to this tiny country. Several of the routes will deploy the carrier’s brand-new Airbus A321XLRs. But they also include the new link to South Korea. When that service takes off on September 4, it will be the first time the market has had two scheduled airlines.

Due to seeing United earlier this year, the list excludes the simple resumption of flights to Tel Aviv on September 8 and Dubai on November 8. The former will be flown twice daily on the Boeing 787-10, before flights rise to a high of 18 weekly departures in November on the 787-9 and 787-10. Meanwhile, flights to Dubai, in partnership with Emirates, will operate daily on the 777-300ER.

United’s Network From Newark: September 2026 To Next July

From now until next July, the latest information shows that United plans nonstop flights from EWR to 176 airports globally. They are summarized in the following table. The eight additional markets in Europe means that United will now fly to a record 43 European destinations.

United has grown its European offering from EWR considerably in recent years. Given this strength and expansion, EWR will have flights to two more European airports than will be available from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). And that is even when all the disparate airlines that serve JFK are combined.

The table also includes anywhere with at least three departures in the examined period, which rules in the carrier’s very time-limited operations to Tulum and Kahului that will operate around Christmas. And, finally, anywhere that’ll cease seeing United, such as Lima, is stated, so long as some flights will exist for at least part of the period.

United Plans Record Movements

Let’s fast-forward to mid-January 2027. In that bitterly cold period, United has scheduled an average of 797 daily movements (takeoffs and landings combined) at EWR. Compared to the equivalent week in 2026, the carrier’s offering has grown substantially. 99 extra daily movements will exist, which is up by 14% in a year. It will be the most activity for any January on record.

The Embraer E175 (shown above) will be the top aircraft at EWR, with Republic operating them exclusively for United Express at the New Jersey hub. Elsewhere, widebody aircraft usage is high, even in the mid-winter, with 81 daily movements. That is more than from any other hub. This activity, along with having comparatively few regional jet services, contributes to United having 146 seats per flight at EWR, which is second only to San Francisco (163).
