– Barcelona and Real Madrid scouts were at Anfield to scout Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as he opened the scoring in a 3-0 win over Liverpool, according to TEAMtalk. Both of the Spanish giants continue to monitor the possibility of a future move following the club’s guilty verdict for hundreds of financial charges. The two clubs weren’t just there to watch City players, though: Barça have also been monitoring the situation of defender Ronald Araújo, who is on loan at Liverpool, while Madrid have been checking on Liverpool midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Florian Wirtz.

– Chelsea are increasingly confident that they will sign AFC Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott during the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The belief is that the 23-year-old would find it difficult to turn down a move to Stamford Bridge and the Blues are willing to meet the Cherries’ demands, with any deal likely to reach around £100 million. Bournemouth turned down all interest in Scott during the summer, but the England international’s contract expires in 2028 and he has so far resisted any calls for an extension.

– Borussia Dortmund have been interested in U.S. youth international and Philadelphia Union striker Malik Jakupovic for some time, reports Sky Germany. In the summer, the Bundesliga club submitted an offer for the 17-year-old that was worth €2m-€3m but was ultimately rejected. Contact continues to exist but there is major competition for Jakupovic with Chelsea, RB Salzburg and Stuttgart all looking at him while Eintracht Frankfurt also have in the past.

– Chelsea will need at least £50 million to tempt Barcelona into letting midfielder Frenkie de Jong leave in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. Chelsea are looking at the 29-year-old as they continue their efforts to replace Enzo Fernández after the Argentina international joined Manchester City in the summer. De Jong is out injured but the Dutch midfield is nearing a return to fitness, although that return could make a move more difficult for the Blues as Barça have been eagerly awaiting his return.

– Ruben Amorim wants AC Milan to sign Sassuolo midfielder Darryl Bakola, who has also received interest from Roma and Juventus, reports Calciomercato. Amorim was surprised by the 18-year-old’s quality when the Rossoneri drew 1-1 against Sassuolo at Mapei Stadium, when Bakola was named man of the match. The young Frenchman is being considered by scouts across Europe, and having been signed for €10 million plus €2 million in add-ons last January, he could now command over €30 million.
