Ray’s Hometown Bar is a staple on New York’s Lower East Side. And Authentic Hospitality, its owner, has brought that hometown feeling to Brooklyn, Detroit and Miami.
Tommy Bahama, which partnered with Ray’s two years ago on a collection of camp shirts, is now bringing its vibe to Miami with a limited-edition capsule that will launch at the Ray’s location at the Freehand Miami boutique hotel in the city next month.
The merchandise drop coincides with a weeklong takeover at Ray’s Miami from Nov. 9 to 15, which will include special programming and Tommy Bahama-inspired cocktails. In addition to daily happy hours, there will be a launch event on Nov. 12 where customers can purchase product, visit a cigar-cutting station or spin a wheel to win prizes.
Tommy Bahama will also offer Freehand Miami’s hotel guests complimentary access to branded beach chairs and umbrellas during the weeklong takeover.
“Ray’s Hometown Bar and Tommy Bahama share a love of great drinks, good company and an easygoing approach to hospitality,” said Authentic Hospitality partner Carlos Quirarte. “In Miami, Ray’s and Tommy go together like Crockett and Tubbs, or a strawberry daiquiri and a piña colada. It just makes sense. This is for everyone who doesn’t want to go back to work. Stay on vacation.”
The capsule includes a signature Tommy Bahama silk camp shirt reimagined with custom Ray’s Miami graphics, along with a limited-edition T-shirt and cap. The collection features teal and coral tones inspired by the city’s architecture and the Floridian landscape along with an updated Tommy Bahama marlin logo complete with a new tag line: Drink ’em with or without bait.
The capsule will be available for purchase beginning Nov. 9 at Ray’s Hometown Bar Miami and online.
