The Hundred 2026 results: Lhuan-dre Pretorius drives London Spirit to a win over MI London

Lhuan-dre Pretorius recovered from a heavy collision in the field to hit 64 as London Spirit beat MI London by seven wickets for their first win in this season’s Hundred.

The South African and James Coles ran into one another chasing a catch late in the first innings, in which reach MI London reached 164-5.

Pretorius left the field after the incident but was fit to open the Spirit innings and hit three fours and seven sixes in his 28-ball innings, which started with a 63-run partnership with Jonny Bairstow (23).

The 20-year-old added a further 38 with Liam Livingstone (16) before he was caught by Sherfane Rutherford off the bowling of Richard Gleeson.

James Rew (19) and Dewald Brevis (37 from 18) finished the job off for Spirit, who won with 11 balls to spare.

MI London had started well after being put into bat, with Will Jacks (65) and James Vince (26) putting on a 91-run opening partnership.

However both openers and Nicholas Pooran fell in the space of eight balls as the home side slipped to 100-3.

Both Jacks and Pooran were dismissed by Jamie Overton, who later removed Jason Roy (13) for figures of 3-30.

Rutherford accelerated at the close for MI, striking a 19-ball 41 that featured four sixes before he was caught by Coles off Andrew Tye from the last ball of the innings.

Spirit move into sixth, above Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix, after claiming their first win in three matches, while MI London sit in fourth with two wins and two defeats.
