Texas Voters Get Final Say After Trump Backs Paxton in Runoff


The showdown has become one of the most expensive in Senate history, according to AdImpact data. During the runoff period alone, the Republican candidates and their allies spent $23 million on media, almost 80% of that by Cornyn’s campaign. That was on top of more than $120 million spent by both Republicans and Democrats ahead of the primary.
