TC Energy reports $987M second-quarter profit, up from $833M last year

CALGARY — TC Energy Corp. reported $987 million in net income attributable to common shareholders for its second quarter, up from $833 million a year earlier.

The pipeline company says the profit amounted to 95 cents per share for the quarter ended June 30, an increase from 80 cents per share in the second quarter of 2025.

TC Energy says it comparable earnings for its latest quarter amounted to 94 cents per share, up from 82 cents per share a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter totalled $3.96 billion, up from $3.74 billion in the same quarter last year.

In June, the company approved two expansion projects on its Columbia Gas and Columbia Gulf systems to support increasing demand from gas-fired generation including data centre development.

It says the Central Virginia Capacity project is expected to be in service around 2028 to 2030, while the Clark project has an anticipated in-service date of 2028, and together represent a capital investment of around US$0.4 billion.
