Spanish Inflation Unexpectedly Holds Well Above ECB Target


Spain’s numbers are the first major inflation release from the euro area since the ECB raised interest rates for the first time in three years this month. The other big economies report figures Tuesday, with the bloc itself publishing its own reading on Wednesday. Analysts predict a slight deceleration, to 3% from 3.2%.
