S&P/TSX composite index down in late-morning trading Thursday, U.S. markets mixed




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index moved lower in late-morning trading on Thursday, driven by weakness in basic materials, while U.S. markets were mixed.
The S&P/TSX composite index was down 70.45 points at 36,591.69.
