S&P/TSX composite falls more than 600 points, U.S. stock markets also negative




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index fell more than 600 points Wednesday, weighed down by losses in the basic materials sector, while U.S. markets were also negative.
The S&P/TSX composite index was down 607.65 points at 35,041.86.
