Raptors updated roster and starting lineup after Kawhi Leonard trade

The Los Angeles Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard era is now officially coming to a close. After the Clippers agreed to terms months ago to trade Leonard to the Toronto Raptors, the deal was put on hold during the NBA’s investigation into potential salary cap circumvention. With punishments now handed down by the league and Leonard not facing any suspension, the trade will now reportedly move forward as planned, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Here’s a look at the trade terms and details that were initially reported:

Raptors roster and starting lineup after Kawhi Leonard trade

The Raptors boast one of the most well-rounded starting lineups in the Eastern Conference, and Leonard should fit extremely well alongside the likes of Quickley, Barrett and Barnes. The Raptors also have the potential to use Murray-Boyles, who flashed tremendous upside during the 2025-26 season, at center, if they opt to go slightly smaller. Regardless, the Raptors immediately position themselves as a team capable of pushing for a high seed in the East.
