Derbyshire all-rounder Anuj Dal has retired from professional cricket to work in financial services.
The 30-year-old leaves the County Championship Division Two side after nine years to take up a full-time role with Nottingham-based Ryley Wealth Management – a firm where he has previously worked part-time while juggling his career with bat and ball.
Dal scored 3,773 runs and took 128 wickets across all formats – with his haul of 34 wickets and 957 runs in 2022 earning him Derbyshire’s County Championship player of the year award that season.
The former England Under-19 international has also held down the role vice chair of the Professional Cricketers’ Association since 2021.
