Pomellato Taps Chinese Actress Yang Zi as Global Brand Ambassador

Pomellato has named Chinese actress Yang Zi its latest global brand ambassador and unveiled her first campaign for the house, spotlighting the Nudo collection.

Reuniting with one of China’s most influential female photographers Chen Man on Yang’s first campaign for the Milanese jewelry house, she is seen in a series of images that portray her “rare combination of warmth, charisma and modern grace,” according to Pomellato.

“Yang Zi radiates the very qualities that define the Pomellato woman,” said Sabina Belli, chief executive officer of Pomellato. “Her energy and distinctive presence make her a wonderful new voice for the maison,” Belli added.

Marking 20 years since her on-screen debut, Yang has grown from child star to one of the leading figures in China’s entertainment industry, working across film, television, fashion and philanthropy. She is best known for roles in hit drama series including “Ashes of Love,” “Go Go Squid!” and “Lost You Forever.”

Yang counts more than 93 million followers on Instagram, Weibo, Xiaohongshu and Douyin combined.

This June, Yang received the Magnolia Award for Best Actress at the 31st Shanghai Television Festival for her portrayal of Bai Ju, an environmentally conscious police officer in “Born to Be Alive,” becoming the first “post-’90s” actress to win the accolade.

“Pomellato celebrates women who are unafraid to be themselves. I feel a deep emotional connection to that belief, and I am honored to represent a Maison whose creations speak with such character and joy,” Yang said of the partnership.

Introduced in 2001, Nudo is one of Pomellato’s most recognizable lines, known for its minimalist, clawless settings and bold, “naked” gemstones cut in graphic, cushion-like silhouettes.

The stackable rings, earrings and pendants, offered in vivid colorways, have become a pillar of the brand’s everyday-luxury positioning and a key driver of global sales.
