Polo Ralph Lauren Spring 2027 Ready-to-Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

Coming off of Ralph Lauren’s standout spring runway show during New York Fashion Week, the company returned to Paris to present its spring 2027 Polo Ralph Lauren Collection on Friday.

Held at Ralph’s Restaurant in Paris with natural sea grass dune elements, wildflowers and whitewashed wood with Ralph Lauren Home white and indigo benches, the collection dove deep into the spirit of discovery through looks that mixed timeless Polo wardrobing with new ideas inspired by world travels and objects found along the way. Karen Brown Brody, senior brand creative director, women’s Polo and RLX, told WWD that this season she returned to accentuating the American spirit that is at Polo’s core, with ample easy and versatile, yet refreshing and optimistic, designs.

“Always at Polo’s core we are American and we are classic. Where she experiments with the mixing of things or when she travels and she’s collecting things, that’s where it starts to I think get into more experimentation and exploration, and that kind of leaning into individuality,” Brown Brody told WWD of the mix of feminine floral and Indian Madras plaid layers, tailoring and relaxed workwear elements.

Throughout the collection this came through new accentuated silhouettes, as in micro paper bag shorts mixed with sharp tailored jackets, or polo shirts cut both short and slim, or a little looser with slouchier sleeves. In tailoring, the juxtaposition of big versus small continued with more voluminous pants paired with tailored suitings and slimmer jackets, like a signature Eisenhower suede jacket or leopard print calf hair newsboy jacket.

The collection’s hand-crochet cable knit dress, available in white or blue, and viral cotton windbreaker jackets, here with shell and bead embroidered collars, stood out for their mix of bridging Polo classics with new artisanal intrigue. Both styles will be available in limited runs globally.

Racerback swimsuits and knit dresses, floral jacquard board shorts with a cropped tuxedo jacket, pretty breezy silk blouses with exaggerated collars, drop shoulders and ruching details, great breezy wrap skirts and shrunken pique jackets with artisanal finishings, including mother-of-pearl, helped complete a wardrobe that evoked the authentic, worldly quality Brown Brody was seeking.

This ethos also came through accessories, with many of the looks topped with striking handcrafted shell and lapis or turquoise stone jewelry made in collaboration with Piki Wadsworth, a second generation Diné and Hopi artist, as part of Ralph Lauren’s Authentic Makers program. Handbags in raffia, nylon, twill and leather, including colorful new takes on the Blaze Bag, and sandals and slipper loafers worn with socks added playfulness to the looks, while braided Indian Madras and plaid chunky belts served as a fun new take on the trending cummerbund layer.

Next month the company is debuting PoloFest, a festival featuring vintage Polo merchandise, speakers and activations for fans of the brand, in Tokyo at Jing Harajuku in the city’s Shibuya district. Running from Oct. 23 to 25, it will also examine the history of the American brand ahead of its 60th anniversary next year.
