Pokémon Pokopia’s Zorua Hide-and-Sneak event – though you’ll likely refer to it as ‘Hide and Seek’ – is available in July 2026.

This limited-time event has a simple objective: making your way past Zorua and other patrolling Pokémon to reach the Pokémon Center PC undetected. It’s harder than it sounds, but there’s a couple of tips that can make the mini-game easier.

This guide explains how to start the Zorua event, tips for how to win, and all prizes for completing the Hide-and-Sneak mini-game quickly.

How To Start The Zorua Hide-And-Sneak Event

Before you start, you need to have rebuilt a Pokémon Center, and play between Sunday, 19th July at 5am to Monday, 27th July at 4:59am local time. The Zorua event requires an internet connection to first unlock, but from there, you can time travel back to these dates to complete the event if you missed it.

Between these dates, you’ll find Zorua outside of the Pokémon Center. Talk to them to start the quest. Note that in our experience, it might take several attempts for them to discuss the event, so try talking once or twice to get the option to play.

Zorua Hide-And-Sneak Event Tips & How To Win

The mini-game sees you given two minutes and 30 seconds to reach the Pokémon Center’s PC, which is guarded by patrolling Pokémon. Your starting location is semi-randomised, meaning you’ll be dropped in front, to the side, or behind the Pokémon Center. The Pokémon searching for you, meanwhile, will be located close to the PC, meaning you’ll only likely get spotted once you get close.

It can be quite a frustrating event – so here’s tips that helped us secure a low time:

  • The Camouflage transformation is essential. This allows you to transform into a nearby object, and though it doesn’t render you invisible, it means you get a heads up on when you’ve been spotted, as indicated by a speech bubble and the sound of a heartbeat. Stay still until the Pokémon investigating you moves on, allowing you to sneak forward slowly once more towards the PC.

  • Starting location helps massively. For example, being dropped behind the Pokémon Center, allowing you to make your way around the side closest to the Pokémon Center, means you have less distance to sneak. Meanwhile, we found some success with Bleak Beach, which has a canal in front of the Pokémon Center, which you can swim through undetected to then pop up fairly close.

  • If you are really struggling, a reddit user discussed a way to force the game to spawn you right on top of the Pokémon Center by surrounding the area with… lava. This might take sometime to pull off, but is an interesting trick if you wanted to give it a go nonetheless. You can watch a video of the attempt here.

Assuming you aren’t doing the above trick, there is an element of luck involved in getting there quickly – and the sooner you get there, the more rewards you’ll receive.

Zorua Hide-And-Sneak Event Rewards & Prizes

Rewards are based on how fast you reach the goal, where the faster you complete the event, the more rewards you earn. This means as long as you complete it in under 20 seconds, you can earn everything in one go.
