After debuting her “Friendship Bracelet” Nike Caitlin 1s on Wednesday, self-anointed Swiftie Caitlin Clark gave fans another look at the upcoming release during Friday’s win over the Connecticut Sun.

During a 34-point, 12-assist showing, Clark laced up the Taylor Swift-inspired sneakers, and @brilewerkephoto was there to document the moment, later sharing the best look yet at the detailed design. With a playful Pearl Pink/Summit White/Metallic Silver/Racer Blue color combination, the upcoming Nike Caitlin 1 takes inspiration from the Swift fandom’s tradition of making friendship bracelets for the artist’s concerts. 

With a washed-out pastel tie-dye aesthetic across the pair’s Opticast upper blending soft shades of yellow, blue and pink, the sneaker’s standout element is its fuzzy shoelaces which are adorned with various beads and charms to mimic the look of a friendship bracelet. At the bottom of the laces, beads are used to spell out Clark’s initials on the right shoe and jersey number on the left. And inside, the shoe’s insoles are  printed with graphics depicting piles of beads — just in case the inspiration was lost on anyone.

“Yeah these are the ones,” Clark wrote on Instagram while revealing the sneaker.

The upcoming Friendship Bracelet style isn’t the first time Clark has referenced her Swiftie status on her footwear, although it does mark her first Swift-inspired that will be released at retail. In June, prior to the unveiling of her signature sneaker, Clark wore an exclusive Nike Kobe 6 Protro inspired by Swift’s Eras Tour. 

“Obviously, you guys know I’m a big fan of Taylor, and the Eras Tour was the best concert of all time. These are my last [player-exclusives] that I was gonna debut, so I saved the best ones for last,” Clark told reporters after debuting the Kobe 6 style.

The Nike Caitlin 1 Friendship Bracelet is expected to be released Feb. 24 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Basketball retailers for $150. The sneaker’s style code is IH7423-300. Ahead of the official launch, readers can find a closer look at the style below.
