The actress and brand ambassador wore a pair of pumps that have proven quite popular amongst celebrities since their debut in the Chanel spring 2026 collection, which marked new creative director Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection for the house. The shoes came down the runway in many color combinations, but Kidman opted for the black-and-white-trimmed iteration. The style takes the classic pump shape in a fresh direction with a softly squared toe and high-cut, pointed vamp; the color contrast plays a major role, with a trim running along the upper and transitioning to cut down the vamp. Riley Keough has showcased a beige-and-black version of this pump, adding another celebrity-worn moment for the shoe.

Kidman’s shoes accompanied a knee-length dress from the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 collection, featuring a sequined skirt and a satin top with feather accents.

The spring 2026 shoes from Chanel also included a reimagining of the label’s classic cap toe and more distinctive footwear designs. Blazy’s team includes Nina Christen, who also has her own self-named label, as design director of shoes; she won Designer of the Year at the 2025 Footwear News Achievement Awards.

June Ambrose said of Christen at the 2025 FNAAs, “Nina Christen is a designer whose fingerprint — well, sketches — are all over some of the most iconic footwear moments in modern fashion. She has this rare ability to move seamlessly from serious and sculptural to wildly clever and delightfully unexpected. And every fashion house lucky enough to have her has been transformed by her imagination long before she began to build her own world with her namesake collection.”
