Minister Joly and Jamaican Foreign Minister Johnson Smith, to co-host Women Foreign Ministers’ Meeting


September 19, 2024 – The Honourable Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, will co-host a Women Foreign Ministers’ Meeting from September 19 to 20, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario.

Media representatives wishing to cover this event must apply for accreditation to obtain an identification badge. 

Only accredited media with an identification badge will have access to the meeting site.

Notes for media:

Media requiring access to the Women Foreign Ministers’ Meeting are required to be accredited. The accreditation process will be facilitated via a secure portal, which can be accessed here – https://www.accreditationcanada.gc.ca/Registration-Enregistrement/ using the following registration code:

To avoid delays at the venue, you are encouraged to register in advance and arrive at least 1hr prior. You are also required to create an account in the portal and must upload the following:

  1. Photo Identification (i.e. valid driver’s license, passport)
  2. A clear and recent picture (think passport style)
  3. Proof of work (credentials)

All individuals that require access to the secure zone must be accredited without exception.

All badges must be picked up beforehand. Ensure to bring a valid government-issued photo ID.
