Canada-ASEAN Business Council has announced that Meghan Pritchard has agreed to become its new executive director.

In a post on LinkedIn, the organization said her appointment “comes at a pivotal time as Canada continues to strengthen its economic engagement with Southeast Asia.”

“Her experience in international trade, government relations, and stakeholder engagement positions her well to lead CABC’s Canadian efforts to foster stronger commercial partnerships and create new opportunities for Canadian businesses across the ASEAN region,” the group said. 

Before she took on this role, Pritchard was at Global Affairs Canada, starting as a senior special assistant in the office of the minister of small business from January 2020 until December of 2021, and rising to director of operations in the office of the minister of international trade. Meghan also spent time on the hustings, working as a campaign manager for Vancouver Liberal MP Patrick Weiler’s successful election in 2019, and as deputy campaign manager for Toronto area Liberal Paul Chiang in 2021.

Crestview Strategy has hired Michelle Bucci as its new vice president.

According to a LinkedIn post, Michelle will be based in Ontario.

“Few public affairs professionals have led from inside government, advocacy organizations, and consulting,” Crestview wrote on LinkedIn.

:This breadth of experience gives Michelle a practical understanding of how policy is developed, how decisions are influenced, and how organizations can position themselves for success before issues become obstacles. ”

Michelle most recently served as vice president for Ontario at the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs. Prior to that, she was chief of staff to the Ontario minister of public and business service delivery.  That role came on the heels of working as director of forward planning in Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s office.
