Marine Serre has partnered with the Louvre on a limited-edition capsule collection that draws directly from the museum’s archives, centering on one of its most reproduced works: Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa.”
The collaboration marks a formal extension of Serre’s ongoing engagement with historical references and institutional imagery. For the designer, the Louvre functions as both visual resource and symbolic framework, where art history intersects with contemporary fashion.

For the capsule, Serre added signature elements of her brand to the Mona Lisa, using her signature upcycling methods and reworking existing Louvre museum shop merchandise, such as T-shirts and souvenir medals, into new garments and objects. The process involved cutting, reassembling and reprinting, according to the brand.

The collection consists of three pieces: a crewneck short-sleeve T-shirt priced at 150 euros, an upcycled baby-fit T-shirt at 410 euros, and a gold-plated keychain retailing for 130 euros. Each item integrates elements of the Mona Lisa while maintaining Serre’s emphasis on circular design and hybrid construction.
The Louvre has given Serre carte blanche over the display window of its bookshop, positioning the capsule within the museum’s retail environment rather than a traditional fashion setting. The collection has been available since April 30 through the Louvre’s official boutique, both in-store and online, as well as via Marine Serre’s own channels.
