Warwickshire have signed India spinner Manav Suthar for their next two County Championship games.
The left-arm off-spinner made his Test debut earlier this month against Afghanistan, taking 6-33 in the first innings and 1-29 in the second.
He joins the Bears having taken 136 first-class wickets at an average of 24.89.
The 23-year-old could make his debut against Yorkshire at Scarborough on Friday.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Warwickshire for the next two County Championship games,” Suthar told the club website.
“The team have started the season very well, so I’m hoping that I can play a part in helping them in their push for the title.”
Warwickshire are second in the Division One table, five points behind leaders Nottinghamshire, after six matches.
“We’ve played some good red-ball cricket already this season and Manav will bring a new aspect to our bowling attack,” Warwickshire performance director James Thomas added.
“It shows how highly he’s rated in India after his selection to their Test team last week, so it’s going to be great to have him around the group.”
