Lords of the Fallen 2 is not going to make it out on time. Developer CI Games has announced that the game is shifting from 2026 to Q1 2027 (January-March 2027).

CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski said feedback and tests showed that there are “meaningful opportunities” available to “further refine and strengthen the overall experience” with more time.

“These enhancements will benefit from additional integration, iteration, and polishing time, enabling the team to deliver the highest possible quality at launch,” he said.

Delaying to 2027 also gives Lords of the Fallen 2 a better chance to shine, outside of what he described as a “competitive holiday period.” That’s no doubt a reference GTA 6, which is set for release on November 19.

“The team remains fully energized by the strong response to our recent reveals and is deeply focused on delivering a standout dark fantasy action-RPG and a worthy successor to the Lords of the Fallen franchise,” Tyminski said. “We are grateful for the continued passion, feedback, and support from our community, and we look forward to sharing more updates in the coming months.”

Epic Games had a licensing agreement for Lords of the Fallen 2 to make its PC edition exclusive to the Epic Games Store, but that deal was canceled. Despite its name, Lords of the Fallen 2 is actually the third game in the series, following Lord of the Fallen (2014) and Lords of the Fallen (2023).
