Batman Knightfall Part 1 Trailer and Voice Cast Revealed

IGN can exclusively reveal the new trailer for Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall, the first entry in a three-part animated feature film adaptation of the classic DC Comics storyline. The trailer can be viewed via the player above or the video embedded below.

From DC, Warner Bros. Animation, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Part One of the trilogy premiered Tuesday at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall will be released later this year.

The movie – directed by Jeff Wamester and written by Jeremy Adams – adapts the DC Comics storyline by Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Alan Grant, Dennis O’Neil, Peter David, Jo Duffy, Jim Aparo, Graham Nolan, Norm Breyfogle, and Jim Balent.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall stars the voices of Anson Mount (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Mando (Spider-Man: Brave New Day) as Bane, and Pablo Schreiber (Halo) as Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael.

Part One’s official plot synopsis reads: “When the mysterious behemoth known only as Bane frees Batman’s entire Rogue’s Gallery from Arkham Asylum, the Caped Crusader is pushed to his mental and physical breaking point.”

Rick Morales serves as the movie’s Supervising Producer alongside Producers Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau. Sam Register and Michael Uslan are Executive Producers.

Batman: Knightfall came in at #15 on IGN’s picks for the top 27 best Batman comics and graphic novels. Elements of Batman: Knightfall made their way into Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises where Tom Hardy’s Bane broke Batman’s back and took over Gotham City.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall was announced at New York Comic Con 2025.
