Most days of the week, you’ll find me in a faithful pair of blue jeans. But when I want to give my outfit a more polished feel without giving up denim altogether, I almost always reach for a pair of white jeans instead.

Rendered in an elegant neutral shade, they have a knack for making denim outfits feel refined. Whilst blue jeans will always earn a place in my wardrobe, white styles bring a summery sophistication that’s hard to deny. Proving just how chic they can be, Victoria Beckham reached for a pair whilst attending the World Cup final this weekend.

Simple in theory, Victoria’s combination of a vest top, white jeans and heeled sandals was one of the chicest outfits I’ve seen all season. Rather than opting for a basic ribbed tank, she chose a more elevated keyhole design. Meanwhile, her white jeans brought a fresh, sophisticated finish, whilst strappy heels added poise.
