Japan in a ‘race against time’ to rescue people trapped beneath rubble after quake


At least 13 people have been killed after a 6.8 earthquake struck the island of Kyushu on Tuesday, with some people still missing and thousands displaced from their homes.

BBC’s Jake Kwon explains what has happened in the 24 hours following the initial quake – and why the death toll is expected to rise.
