J.D. Tuccille: Americans reject government regulation of social media


Giving the keynote address at the European Summit on Artificial Intelligence and Children, European Commission President von der Leyen noted that “Many young people, when you listen to them, speak passionately of how technology gives them a sense of belonging.” But, she added, “The more they are exposed to the digital world, the greater the risks. Likes, shares, retweets, links, etcetera — social media validations are increasingly dictating how they think and feel.”
