Former Titans coach Brian Callahan interviews for Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator position

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have completed an interview with former Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan for their offensive coordinator opening. Callahan was the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals under Zac Taylor before the Titans hired him. Amy Adams Strunk is probably really cheering for him to get the job to offset the money she owes him.

Look, I am of the belief that Callahan is a good football coach. The head coaching job was just too big for him. He seems like a really good dude. It seems unlikely that he will get another shot as a head coach, but if he can land somewhere and lead a successful offense, you never know.

Without a doubt, he would have a ton more talent to work with in Tampa Bay than he did with the Titans. Baker Mayfield has been playing really well for the last few years, and they have one of the best receiver rooms in the league.

Callahan finished his tenure as the Titans’ head coach with a record of 4-19.
