Farnborough Airshow 2026: Aircraft Lineup and Exhibitors

With just under a month to go until the 2026 edition of the Farnborough Airshow, the organisers have begun to reveal which aircraft will be present at this year’s show. At the time of writing, 33 aircraft have been confirmed as attending.

For comparison, the 2024 edition of the airshow had a total of 103 aircraft at the show. This consisted of 73 aircraft on static display and 46 aircraft in the flying display. (Note: Some aircraft are counted twice when on static display and flying. While it would be easy to assume that the show will be subdued this year, this is almost certainly not the case, with the list expected to grow substantially as the show draws closer.

The UAE Display Team Will Visit Farnborough 2026

While not yet included in the official lineup, Farnborough Airshow has confirmed that the United Arab Emirates equivalent of the Blue Angels will be displaying at this year’s air show. The Al Fursan display team will be well known by visitors to the biennial Dubai Airshow, held last November.

Simple Flying understands that the Al Fursan display team intends to run a flying display as opposed to a simple flypast. While the UK equivalent, the Red Arrows, used to complete flying displays at the airshow, it now only undertakes flypasts when it is in attendance.

Notable Absences

Of course, with the show still a month away, there are some notable absences from the line-up. The most notable of which is both of the major aircraft manufacturers. Let’s start with Airbus. The European giant is on the list, having confirmed that the A350-1000 will undertake flight demos at the upcoming show.

However, Airbus usually brings a full complement of aircraft to all of the major shows. This typically ranges from the small aircraft, such as the A220 and A320 families, to the widebodies, such as the A330 and A350 families. The manufacturer typically brings customer aircraft to the show.

Boeing is also noticeably absent from the show lineup so far. We do know that the planemaker will have a strong presence as usual, and it is likely to bring aircraft such as the 777X, which has become an airshow favourite since its 2021 Dubai Airshow debut. It is not unusual for Boeing to confirm their aircraft attendance just before the show.

Could COMAC Make An Appearance?

Comac, as in 2024, is confirmed as an exhibitor at this year’s airshow. The Chinese planemaker brought an assortment of aircraft to the 2025 Dubai Airshow, marking the type’s Middle East debut. Bringing the jet to a Western airshow would be a huge step, and perhaps one that COMAC is not quite ready to embrace. However, you can guarantee it would be a fan favourite if it were to show up this year!
