The Exemplar Luxury Group named Chloe King women’s fashion director for its Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue businesses, WWD has learned.

King, who previously served as director of fashion and lifestyle for Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, succeeds Roopal Patel in the high-profile role. King previously reported to Patel, who left the company in January.

King leads the women’s fashion office now for Saks and Neiman’s, and the new job will have her collaborating closely with Exemplar Luxury’s central merchandising team and brand partners, attending fashion shows, visiting showrooms and designers, and helping with brand events. Overall, she is charged with identifying and curating “a distinctive edit that elevates our unique fashion point of view for both Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue,” the company said. King also continues to serve as company spokesperson for fashion trend commentary.

King reports to Paolo Riva, Exemplar Luxury’s chief buying officer for Neiman’s and Saks. Bruce Pask, who continues as associate vice president of the men’s fashion office for Neiman’s and Saks, also reports to Riva. Linda Fargo continues as senior vice president, fashion office and store presentation for Bergdorf Goodman.

Officials credited King for having a one-of-a-kind style and making the right fashion choices.

Before serving as director of fashion and lifestyle for Neiman’s and Saks, King was the market and editorial director for Neiman’s, working to define the luxury retailer’s fashion direction. She helped Neiman’s expand the assortment with independent designers such as Zankov, Diotima and Christopher John Rogers, who have been named CFDA Designer of the Year at various times. Earlier in her career, King honed her perspective in the fashion office at Bergdorf Goodman and led content creation at luxury retailer The Webster.

We are focused on curating inspiring assortments that resonate with our customers, and Chloe’s point of view is essential to the way we present our differentiated edits to our Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue customers based on their unique and evolving tastes.”

Saks Global emerged from bankruptcy last June and was renamed the Exemplar Luxury Group. Saks Global purchased the Neiman Marcus Group in December 2024.
