Enshrouded makes October even busier with a 1.0 release date, more details coming this summer

There comes a time in the life of most early access releases that they most abandon that moniker in favour of a fully fledged 1.0 launch. And it appears said time is arriving for Enshrouded, the fantasy survival game that comes with a whole lot of building options, as developer Keen Games GmbH have locked in a 1.0 release date.

As everyone under the sun is doing, Enshrouded is avoiding the impending nuclear warhead that is Grand Theft Auto 6’s November launch. Instead, it’s opting for an October 15th release date, leaving it plenty of room after the fact. What exactly is coming with that 1.0 launch hasn’t been shared just yet. Further details will apparently be coming sometime this summer, but other than that the only hint appears to be a teasing shot in the announcement trailer of some kind of big ole, I want to say, tree? Beckoning you to “reach for the skies.”

When Enshrouded does finally leave early access in October, it’ll have been almost three years since it first launched. The game pits you as a Flameborn, the “last ember of hope of a dying race.” In practice, you venture throughout a fantasy world taking on some boss fights, trying out some dungeons, and building some bits yourself.

Speaking of, earlier this year Enshrouded introduced its Adventure Sharing mode in an update that furthers all games’ Robloxification. This mode essentially lets you, as you may have guessed from the name, share your creations with others. Given that you can make your own dungeons, obstacle courses, or even just castles, this is very much one of those UGC type dealios to try and bring more people in. Adventure Sharing isn’t fully ready quite yet, but perhaps by 1.0 it’ll be ready for you to dive into fully.
