Toss New Zealand win toss, bat vs England
New Zealand have won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final T20I against New Zealand at Hove.
With the series locked at 1-1 and hoping for a better start than they had in the previous match in Canterbury on Saturday, the White Ferns made two changes to the side which ended up recovering from 11 for 4 to win that match by 14 runs.
Georgia Plimmer will make way at the top of the order for Suzie Bates and seamer Rosemary Mair will replace Lea Tahuhu in the last official T20I for defending champions New Zealand ahead of next month’s T20 World Cup.
For England, acting captain Charlie Dean also said she would have chosen to bat first on a good pitch. The hosts have decided to give seamer Lauren Bell a rest and brought Sophie Ecclestone back alongside fellow left-arm spinner Linsey Smith, who was particularly destructive in Canterbury with her 3 for 25.
Play was set to being in hot, sunny conditions without a cloud in the sky and a gentle easterly breeze blowing across the ground.
