CoD: Black Ops 7 And Warzone Season 3 Reloaded Adds RoboCop, New Events, And LTMs

Season 3 Reloaded arrives in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone next week, and Activision has revealed the full roadmap for this midseason update. Season 3 Reloaded is packed with more weapons, a RoboCop crossover event, a new Zombies map, Warzone limited-time modes, and more content for Endgame.

Weapons and attachments to unlock

One of the main highlights of the midseason update are the new weapons being introduced. Season 3 Reloaded will add the Siren special weapon and the Katana melee weapon for Black Ops 7’s weapon pool.

The midseason update also includes the following weapon attachments to unlock:

  • Lightframe PDW Conversion for the MK.78 light machine gun
  • Badlands Pistol Kit for the Warden 300 marksman rifle
  • Fabricator Mag for the Carbon 57 submachine gun
  • Apex Sweeper Rig for the Ryden 45k submachine gun

Season 3 Reloaded events

RoboCop event

Call of Duty will cross over with the sci-fi film RoboCop in Season 3 Reloaded, and this includes a RoboCop event with both free and paid event tracks. Call of Duty’s paid event passes are usually priced at $10. The event includes cosmetics themed around the film as well as the free unlock for the season’s new Siren special weapon. Event participation is included across multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.

Free Run MP event

Another midseason event is specific to multiplayer’s limited-time Free Run mode, as highlighted below. This event is a leaderboard challenge, tasking players to complete the obstacle course as quickly as possible in order to earn camos and other cosmetic rewards.

CoD Endowment event

Additionally, there will be a Call of Duty Endowment event in honor of Military Appreciation Month. This will let players earn additional rewards across multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.

New multiplayer maps and modes

Onsen is a brand-new small map set within a Japanese hot spring. This map is designed for 6v6 and 2v2. You can see a preview of the Onsen map in the image above.

Hacienda and Summit arrive as remastered maps from past Black Ops games, and these are both standard 6v6 maps.

Season 3 Reloaded also includes two brand-new game modes called Heat Wave Havoc and Freeze Tag. One leans into the heat element, requiring players to complete cooperative actions to earn extra “heat level” abilities for their operator. The other is a game of freeze tag, where players must cause lethal damage to freeze their opponents on the map for points.

Free Run returns

A special map arrives to Black Ops 7 for Season 3 Reloaded. Ascent is an obstacle map designed specifically for the return of the parkour-based Free Run mode from Black Ops 3.

Free Run is all about traversing an obstacle course as quickly as possible, and players will be able to test their movement across 10 zones within Black Ops 7’s Ascent map.

Activision announced that Free Run will launch with rewards players can earn from completing this map course. These include the following:

  • Complete the Freerun: Ascent course three times to earn the “Scaled” emblem and 1,000 XP
  • Collect all Ciphers in Freerun: Ascent to earn the “Upswing” weapon charm and 2,500 XP
  • Complete the Freerun: Ascent course in under 14 minutes with fewer than 10 faults to earn the “Innovate” universal Weapon Camo and 5,000 XP

There will also be additional rewards as mentioned above for the Free Run limited-time event.

New Zombies map

As previously announced, the season’s new Zombies map is called Totenreich. This is a WWII era fishing town trapped inside the Dark Aether, and it features the robots from Black Ops 1’s Origins map. The full cinematic trailer for Totenreich can be seen here.

The main quest for Totenreich becomes available when the Season 3 Reloaded update releases on April 30 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.

New Wonder Weapon

Activision has also now revealed the map’s new Wonder Weapon. The Jotunn Star is described as a wide-sweeping melee-based Wonder Weapon. It has a lantern-shaped design, and it can be seen in the image above.

New content for Endgame

Black Ops 7’s Endgame remains free-to-play for a limited time. The mode is also getting plenty of content with this midseason update.

Season 3 Reloaded adds Operation Broken Mirror, which is a new set of story-based missions to complete in Avalon. Players earn new rewards for every completed objective, including powerful upgrades for their operator.

The Mega Abomination enemy from Zombies mode arrives as a new activity in Nightmare Zones. Defeating the Mega Abomination guarantees the player an Exotic Weapon Case drop.

Additionally, the Thermal Spike is a new major ability. Using this ability will emit a powerful blast of flames that incinerate enemies, and the flames persist in the area for a short duration.

Warzone LTMs

The major highlight for Warzone’s midseason update is the addition of new limited-time modes. One mode is exclusive to Black Ops Royale and the other is limited to Rebirth Island.

Hot Pursuit is a mode for Black Ops Royale on Avalon. This is inspired by the original Blackout battle royale mode of the same name. Hot Pursuit is basically a game of cops and robbers. Players compete in squads of four and choose to play as either cops or robbers. Designed around vehicular gameplay, players can choose to hop into a police vehicle to track down the robbers or jump in a getaway car to find valuables. Players will respawn so long as one squad member is alive.

Prop Hunt Royale is played as 24v24 matches on Rebirth Island, and it’s much like Call of Duty’s classic Prop Hunt party mode. This is a round-based mode, and teams are either props or hunters in a game of hide-n-seek.

New equipment in battle royale

Additionally, Warzone will also get added equipment. The Cluster Grenade from Black Ops Royale will become available in standard battle royale and Resurgence modes.

Brand-new equipment called Spikes are introduced for standard battle royale and Resurgence.

Activision describes this new equipment as experimental military stimulant, which players can use to gain the following benefits:

  • Armor Salvaging: Immediately gain an equipped Armor Plate after eliminating an enemy
  • Prone Firing: Greatly reduce weapon recoil while crouched or prone
  • Handicraft: Regenerate Equipment over time
