Working alongside her stylist Chris Horan, Christina Aguilera had herself a glamorous moment at the 20th Anniversary Gala of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation held at the Opera Garnier tonight in Monaco. The musician’s look was sultry and movie star-esque, reminiscent of femme fatales like Marilyn Monroe.

Embodying wealth and opulence, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer wore an all-black Versace Embroidered Silk gown, a silky, inky black piece fitted with silver beaded embellishments around the high neck that looked reptilian in nature. The designer gown is made of 100% black silk and currently retails for $7,790 on Farfetch.

The beaded neckline gives way to a slouchy plunging cowl neck before tapering out into a form-fitted waist and skirt. Said skirt featured a slit up the front, which allowed for more movement while showing off Aguilera’s shoes. While it was hard to see in pictures, that silver beaded embroidery also carried on to the back. This design detail created a cohesive appearance, meaning wherever Aguilera stood, the beading could be seen from all angles. The accompanying cowl bodice created a textural element that flowed like water.

A black evening gown is commonplace in many celebrities’ wardrobes. Designer or otherwise, a black gown is a staple that can be worn with just about any footwear in your closet, given that black is so versatile. Additionally, black dresses like these never go out of style. They are a timeless piece that has withstood the ever-changing fashion landscape.

Opting for a monochrome moment, the “Say Something” singer wore Christian Louboutin pumps, also in black. Like her dress, Aguilera’s footwear choice was timeless, a classic silhouette consisting of glossy black leather uppers, pointed toes, and stiletto heels standing at around 3 to 4 inches in height. Of course, the soles of her pumps were bright red, an iconic motif seen on primarily all of Christian Louboutin’s footwear designs.

Aguilera’s glam was soft and icy, punctuated by a sultry black liner that gave her eyes a sleepy look and bright pink blush that brought warmth to her face. The musician wore her blonde tresses quaffed in the front, while the remainder of her hair was styled in classic bouncy curls that framed her face. As for jewelry, Aguilera opted for a few dazzling Chopard pieces.
