Earlier this week, Carney appointed new leaders to helm Invest in Canada, a government agency that’s doing some logistical work for the summit. Dominic Barton, Canada’s former ambassador to China and a longtime partner at McKinsey & Co., will replace Karl Tabbakh as chair. Gurinder Grewal, an investment professional with experience in sectors such as energy, infrastructure and technology, was named chief executive. He’s replacing Laurel Broten, a former Ontario politician who led the agency for around four years.
