Sporty fashion is having a major boom this summer. Athleticwear is everywhere thanks to back-to-back major professional sports events, from the NBA Championships (go Knicks!) to the World Cup, and now Wimbledon. One trend in particular has trickled into the mainstream and is being styled in chic, put-together ways. The trend in question? Jersey shirts. Fashion people and celebs are showing support for their favorite teams, but in a much more stylish way than usual. The latest celebrity to do so is Camila Cabello.

Cabello stepped out, simultaneously supporting her favorite soccer team with an Adidas Mexico jersey, which is having a major World Cup winning streak.) She styled it differently from the expected “athletic” way and opted for an elevated aesthetic instead. She wore it with a black leather miniskirt and a pair of strappy heels by Miu Miu. In hand, she toted a vintage leopard-print shoulder bag by Dolce & Gabbana. There’s a growing trend of cool girls wearing jerseys with heels and other elevated pieces, and I’m not mad at it. It’s chic, playful, and perfectly on-theme with the current sports culture—without looking cheesy.
