Crystal Palace attacker Brennan Johnson is set to join Everton while Dwight McNeil will move to Crystal Palace in a swap deal, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Toffees have agreed to let McNeil leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium club for Selhurst Park, with Johnson moving in the other direction. The Eagles and Everton have both agreed to the deal, with both players starting their medical tests today in a huge boost for David Moyes and new Palace manager Pierre Sage.
The swap was initially complicated due to both clubs’ different valuations for their wingers. However, they have reached a compromise, with Johnson set to become the Toffees’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window. Everton have already signed Christian Norgaard from Arsenal, Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough and completed permanent deals for Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl.
Meanwhile, Palace have signed defensive duo Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu as free agents, and Sage is now about to bolster his attacking ranks.
