Five years have already passed since Breeze Airways’ inaugural commercial flight in 2021. Between then and April 2026, the US Department of Transportation indicates that the carrier has transported more than 17 million passengers.

Between August 2026 and February 2027, which is as far as Breeze’s schedule currently extends, the airline plans to fly to 90 destinations both inside and outside the US. Many are new. However, when compared to 2021 to July 2026, six airports have been removed from the carrier’s map.

Breeze Has Stopped Flying To These Airports

They are summarized in the following table and the route network for each previously served airport is shown on the subsequent map. Notice Mobile International, to which Breeze flew from Orlando International Airport (MCO) between April 2024 and January 2025. Despite relatively low-capacity aircraft, the DOT shows that it filled 39.8% of seats (!).

Mobile International is not the primary facility serving the city in Alabama, and Breeze’s exit means it no longer has any scheduled passenger flights. Cirium Diio shows that it had entered the market following the exit of Avelo Airlines, which had served the same route between April 2023 and March 2024. The load factor was 60.1%, and presumably had lower fares.

Plattsburgh was Breeze’s first attempt to serve a US-Canada border airport, although Ogdensburg joined its map later. The airline arrived in Plattsburgh, around 65 minutes (105 km) from Montreal, in November 2023 from MCO and later Tampa International Airport (TPA). Both markets targeted Canadian snowbirds. The carrier pulled out a year and a half after arriving. 68.2% of MCO seats were filled, against 73.4% for TPA — but that route’s fares must have been even worse, as flights lasted for three months.

Breeze No Longer Serves Oklahoma

The airline’s schedule submission to Cirium indicates that Oklahoma first saw Breeze’s jets in June 2021. It was one of the first states served. TUL was the first destination, followed by OKC the following month. A total of 52,412 passengers were carried to/from TUL (63.4% load factor), against just 26,970 passengers for OKC (55.6%). Of course, the low traffic figures were influenced by neither airport having Breeze flights for long.

Breeze flew between both TUL and SAT and OKC and SAT between July 2021 and November 2021, which was in the airline’s first few months of life and during the devastating COVID-19 pandemic. Each route filled fewer than 34.0% of the seats; no wonder they were removed.

Neither route is now served, although Southwest Airlines flew nonstop between OKC and SAT until January 2026.

In the 12 months to April 2026, TUL-SAT had 27,802 round-trip passengers, while OKC-SAT had 52,981 (influenced by Southwest’s presence). A major problem for those markets is the huge number of connecting flights via Dallas Love and Houston Hobby with Southwest, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) with American Airlines and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) with United Airlines.

What Is Happening With Denver?

Denver International Airport has been part of Breeze’s network since May 2024. In the subsequent two years or so, it only flew from Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD), serving Providence, which is 1,509 nautical miles (2,795km) away. The airline has coexisted with Southwest on the airport pair throughout.

Breeze has shortened the operating period between PVD and DEN significantly. In 2024, flights operated between May and December, but only existed between June and August 2025 and June and August 2026. The schedule has remained more or less unchanged. Focusing on the return leg, the operating Airbus A220-300 leaves DEN around midnight and arrives in Rhode Island at 6:00 AM+1. While not currently scheduled or bookable, flights will presumably return next June.
