Bogart Owner in Exclusive Discussions for Marionnaud


PARIS – Marionnaud perfumery chain might change hands.

David Konckier, the majority shareholder of Groupe Bogart, has entered into an exclusive consultation process about the possible acquisition of Marionnaud Group.

Marionnaud, which is among the three largest perfumery chains in France in terms of door count, is a subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd., based in Hong Kong.

Marionnaud has more than 700 stores in France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Switzerland.

Marionnaud was acquired by A.S. Watson, a Hutchison Whampoa subsidiary, in 2005. At the time, Hutchison Whampoa became one of the world’s largest – if not the largest – prestige fragrance seller. Marionnaud then had more than 1,230 perfumeries.

Bogart includes licensed and owned fragrance and skin care brands, such as Carven, Chevignon, Jacques Bogart, Ted Lapidus Parfums, April, Close, Stendhal and Méthode Jeanne Paiubert.

In retail, Bogart owns a number of selective perfumeries and drugstores in Europe and the Near and Middle East, including April perfumeries in Belgium, France, Israel, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emeriats; Di drugstore in Belgium; HC Parfümerie, Aurel, Gottman and Gabriel perfumers in Germany, and Fann perfumery in Slovakia.

Bogart has been acquiring beauty retailers since 2024 and today has 450 boutiques in seven countries over two continents.

In 2025, Bogart generated sales of 264.1 million euros, or $301.9 million, of which the beauty retail activity posted 243.6 million euros.
