Havaianas and KidSuper are back together again — this time for an art project in Brazil.

Indeed, ahead of the release of their collaborative flip-flop styles next month, KidSuper founder and artist Colm Dillane recently traveled to Brazil to transform a public soccer field with his original artwork. And rather than beginning with the product, Havaianas and KidSuper chose the streets of São Paulo as the starting point of the story.

According to the Brazilian flip-flop brand, the artwork featured on the field brings to life the design Dillane created for one of the styles from the upcoming partnership.

For Dillane, the project also marks a return to a country with which he already shares a personal connection. A passionate soccer fan and former player, he previously lived in Brazil and spent time at Esporte Clube Vitória, in Bahia. His relationship with the country, the language and Brazilian soccer culture gives this new chapter a connection that goes beyond a first encounter.

During his time in São Paulo, Dillane closely followed the court project and took part in its creative development. His itinerary blended football and culture, including visits connected to São Paulo’s football scene and key cultural institutions, alongside the filming of a digital documentary set to be released in September.

“Brazil has been part of my story for a long time, and football is a big part of that connection,” Dillane said in a statement. “Coming back with Havaianas and creating something on a court, where football is actually lived every day, felt very natural. I love the idea that the artwork doesn’t just live on a product, but becomes part of a real place, for people to play, meet and make it their own.”

The restored court is the second public chapter of the Havaianas x KidSuper story. In January, the duo gave a glimpse of what’s to come when Dillane featured a collaborative flip-flop in his fall/winter 2026 runway show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. The style aimed to echo the grassy surface of the soccer field through a green velvet construction.
