BNL and Mitchell baseball teams raise $7,000 during Friday game


With a goal of raising $6,000 the high school baseball teams from Bedford North Lawrence and Mitchell played the 12th annual BNL Stars vs Cancer game on Friday, May 8, at the BNL baseball field.

A total of $7,000 was raised with all proceeds going to the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services (LCCPS).

The BNL Stars defeated the Mitchell Bluejackets 11-0. BNL is 8-8 so far this season and Mitchell is 8-7 and 4-1 in the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference.

Mitchell played conference rival Perry Central at Leopold on Monday, May 11.
