Best Abercrombie & Fitch Jeans to Shop: Reviewed

Abercrombie & Fitch bottoms regularly pop up on celebrities from Hailey Bieber and Jennifer Aniston to the Jenner sisters and Bella Hadid. Jeans, in particular, are the circa-1892 label’s magnum opus, and it’s able to consistently release only the most covetable of options based on season — without ever making your wallet suffer for all that style.

Abercrombie & Fitch’s full-scale renaissance in recent years should not go unnoticed. Gone are the days of heavy-handed cologne usage, that iconic moose logo dotting each and every tee, and shirtless male employees: replaced now by a size-inclusive philosophy, more elevated everyday wear, and greater commitment to a customer base that, well, has real, adult dollars to spend.

From becoming the official fashion partner of the NFL to rolling out a 2026 Pride collection that stuck the landing, everything Abercrombie has been doing to update and expand its business is nothing short of commendable.

Here at WWD, we’re special fans of its impressively extensive denim lineup. Abercrombie calls the assortment “denim worth collecting” for a reason: You won’t be able to stop shopping it, until your drawers overflow with top-quality cotton compositions. Spanning the skinny, straight-legged, curve-blessing, and baggy, the company invites you to find your perfect pair for summer, because all style-savvy individuals know that the right jeans (breathable, versatile, and trend-aware, that is) can serve you year-round.

So as to round up only the best Abercrombie & Fitch denim for women to shop online this year, I took it upon myself to test four versions across two months, showing them off for work meetings (nothing’s chicer than a button-up and mid-rise jean combo, after all), casual dinner dates, errand runs in the city, and travels overseas.

When choosing my pieces, I made sure each offering was distinct enough from the next, be it through the silhouette, the fabric, the print, the wash, or whether or not it qualified for Abercrombie’s “Curve Love” designation (made specifically for fashionistas with a significant disparity between their waist and hip measurements).

As a self-proclaimed short person, at 5’2″, I also varied the styles’ lengths, getting pairs in either a Regular or a Short to see which ones would successfully manage not to swallow up my ankles and graze the less-than-pristine subway floors.

These are the Abercrombie & Fitch jeans I envision wearing for the next few decades and highly recommend you do, too. Yes, they’re just that well-made and flattering, regardless of occasion, dress code, or weather forecast at hand.

This is the Abercrombie denim I wore most — at an almost-religious frequency — during my two months of testing, rolling up the ends and putting it in conversation with everything from my cleanest white sneakers to strappy heels when going out (à la Victoria Beckham and Rihanna). Fitted at the waist through the seat, these babies took my butt to sexier heights, didn’t feel awkward at the hips unlike other options I sampled (more on that later), and were easy enough through the thigh to secure a fluid range of motion: never once constraining me as I ran around town.

Abercrombie & Fitch’s beloved Vintage Comfort Stretch makeup wins the jeans even more points in the flexibility department. That being said, I’ve found that they still retain their shape marvelously well, even after rounds of washes (on a cold setting, after which you should tumble dry them on low).

Reviewers report that the High Rise 90s Relaxed Jeans fit true to size, and I can agree completely. I ordered them in a Regular versus a Short; despite my vertically challenged status, this was not a major hinderance but actually worked to boost the denim’s appearance once I cuffed it, helping my ensembles take on a more coastal, “running through the sand in my jeans and Birkenstocks” vibe.

At this point, I can’t imagine ever parting with the High Rise 90s Relaxed style — only continuing to augment my collection with buzzy, unique iterations like the Vegan Suede Lace Jean or the colorblocked and edgy Reworked Jean. Join me!

Spoiler alert: This is the one pair of Abercrombie jeans that didn’t fit me quite like a glove would, but I loved wearing it anyways. Part of the brand’s innovative “Curve Love” lineup, the denim’s modus operandi is as follows — pampering women with a “viral fit that eliminates waist gaps… [with] additional room through the hip and thigh for curve-hugging comfort.” What this meant in practice for me? The jeans made my figure more pear-shaped than normal, with added tightness at the hips and, surprisingly, the inner thighs as compared to their High Rise 90s Relaxed counterpart. That being said, I was absolutely obsessed with the season-appropriate light wash they featured, not to mention the frayed hem that infused textural richness and a certain boyishness into my ‘fits.

“Designed to hit at the top of the shoe,” per Abercrombie, this Straight Frayed bestseller absorbed my ankles instead — an easy fix but also a good reminder to stick with the Short length if you clock in between 5’0″ and 5’3″. And though a straight-leg is typically not my go-to jean silhouette, I appreciated it in this context when donned with bulkier tops like sweatshirts and oversized jackets, or else untucked, basic tees.

Snag this ’90s-coded stunner while it’s still here… and on a 30-percent-off sale, no less.

If you ask me, wide-leg jeans are seriously underrepped in the warm-weather months, as fashion insiders everywhere resort to more streamlined formulations with less fabric and bulk on the whole. But if a company hits its material blend out of the park, you won’t even feel a difference: remaining just as cool, calm, collected, and unburdened amidst all your summery goings-on while sporting something baggier.

This, dear reader, is exactly what happened when I took Abercrombie’s Curve Love High Rise Wide Leg Jean with me on every last adventure during late spring and early summer, not once being weighed down or experiencing stuffiness. The label’s Lightweight Rigid fabric, which has absolutely zero stretch and is maximized for drapey comfort, should be thanked for all that.

Since I grabbed this selection in Short, the jeans seemed like they were sewed to order — as if Abercrombie knew the precise placement of my ankles, hip bones, waist, and knees. Powered by clean lines and sumptuous texture that looks more expensive than $90, the denim, in “Curve Love,” is also waist gap–banishing: letting you sit, stand, and saunter without a single annoyance.

As pictured, I often wore this product with sandals or quiet-luxury flip-flops and repurposed it for Casual Fridays at the office by throwing on a fitted sweater vest, long-sleeve bodysuit, linen shirt, or silk blouse overtop (the formality of a dark versus light wash made the jeans a good match).

Would I change a thing about them? Absolutely not, aside from trying the bottoms out in the quick-to-sell-out sardine-embroidered style.

By far the most personality-laden Abercrombie & Fitch jeans I tested, these Curve Love Linen-Blend Low Rise Ultra Loose Drawstring head-turners boast an allover print depicting vintage flower seed packaging — faded over a creamy ecru background that’s bound to make your incoming tan pop (spoken from experience). As the only drawstring-adjustable offerings on this list, the jeans deliver all the sartorial flair while sacrificing none of the comfiness you’ve come to expect from your sweatpants, track shorts, and leggings. They’re also made up of cotton, linen, and elastane, guaranteeing thermoregulation and stretch alike.

Personally, I valued the fact that no matter how much I overate on any given day, the jeans didn’t force me to pay for it: “Just loosen our waist tie and go on with your tasks!” they whispered. In other words, this pair’s the dictionary definition of the word “relaxed,” coming to you with an ultra-loose leg shape and a low rise that might or might not benefit from the strings of your bikini poking out.

Other elements I adored: the denim’s inherent slouch and ability to go hand in hand with a white baby tee plus trucker hat (are you seeing the vision?) or, as witnessed above, an off-the-shoulder number. Catch me flaunting the Linen-Blend Low Rise at a future beach getaway, after the sun sets over the water.
