Announcement of new diplomatic appointment


September 18, 2026 – Ottawa, Ontario – Global Affairs Canada

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointment:

Joël Dupuis will become Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium. Mr. Dupuis will replace Nicholas Brousseau.
