There’s a new Environment press secretary in town.


Amy Falkner steps into press secretary role to the minister of the environment.
Before the move, Falkner was the issues manager for Minister of Jobs and Families Patty Hajdu for 11 months.
“It was a privilege to learn about federal politics with the guidance of the Hon. Patty Hajdu and my team,” Falkner wrote in a post on LinkedIn.
She also worked under Global Affairs Canada as the advocacy campaign support coordinator between 2022 to 2023.


Mira Gillis has been promoted to the role of parliamentary affairs advisor to Senator Dawn Arnold.
“It is truly such a privilege to be able to work in this office and alongside my Senate colleagues and I look forward to each day that this job brings,” Gillis wrote in a post on LinkedIn.
Gillis also works in the non-profit sector, serving as the chief operating officer for Young Digital Leaders of Canada.
“I’m genuinely so grateful to be trusted with this position and cannot wait to see what this year has in store,” Gillis wrote.
